Overview
Under the general supervision of a physical therapist, the In- Patient physical therapist assistant at Gulf Breeze Hospital is a licensed provider of physical therapy services that delivers skilled physical therapy treatments to patients following the plan of care established by a physical therapist.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Responsibilities.Qualifications
Graduate of an approved associate degree program as a Physical Therapist Asst
1-2 years of clinical experience in applicable setting preferred
Current PTA licensure in the State of Florida
BLS
Competence in the delivery of skilled physical therapy services and knowledge of the scope of practice for a physical therapist assistant
Competent in the delivery of evidence-based physical therapy interventions
Excellent time and resource management skills
Ability to maintain strenuous daily pace with overlapping schedule subject to multiple demands and interruptions
Function at a level of performance demonstrating sound judgment and decision making, including ability to seek direction and clarification from Physical Therapist
