Summary:
Accounts Payable Clerk:
- Vendor set up, Procure W-9, maintain accurate vendor information- Invoice entry and coding, scan & attach backup materials- Review of invoices entered by other administrative offices- Requisition set up and review- Associate Purchase orders and invoices- Scheduling of approved, required disbursements weekly and as needed- Review of proposed disbursements with Director of Finance- Print checks and file copies, mail checks, attach copies to backup and file- Respond to all vendor inquiries- Assist departments with coding, requisitions and invoices- Respond to all information requests from departments- Reconcile Vendor statements- Allocate utility and phone bills to departments- Assist in development of back up of Fixed Asset recording- Account and vendor analysis- other duties as assignedThe ideal candidate should have significant experience in accounts payable as their entire AP process is run by this position.
They will be responsible for inputting invoices and POs, resolving discrepancies on invoices/POs, verifying correct accounting codes, cutting checks, and mailing them weekly.
In addition, they will be responsible for answering vendor and employee questions regarding payment statuses and resolving any issues that may arise.
