The Control Desk Coordinator position performs clerical and administrative tasks within the pre and post-op departments.
This position requires strong written and verbal skills and will be responsible for communicating with other medical offices ensuring the needed information is obtained prior to day of services.
The Control Desk Coordinator maintains HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Prepares patient charts and ensures all required documentation is received prior to day of service.
Assists in scanning or copying medical documents as needed Monitors and coordinates the requisition of supplies for the unit Answers call lights and notifies nursing staff of patient needs.
Places order for physicians' lunches daily Communicates verbally and electronically in a professional manner Check and respond to emails in a timely and efficient manner Adheres to proper dress code Maintains supplies and equipment in an aseptic and functional manner.
Qualifications:
Experience in HIPPA and relaying of medical information Understanding of healthcare systems and the service provider roles Basic data entry skills using facilities computer system EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED certificate Uses sound judgment, good communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managers.
Ability to convey a positive and professional image At least two years of Medical Office experience Proficient in MS Office programs; demonstrates strong computer skills Attention to detail, computer literacy, timeliness, organization, low degree of supervision needed to accomplish tasks, and ability to handle stressful situation

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
